City break or beach week: how to choose the right kind of holiday

A city break and a beach week can cost similar money and feel like different planets. Choosing wrong is how people spend a week resenting museums or resenting sand.

Choose a city break if…

  • You want variety in a short window.
  • You like walking, food, galleries and evenings out.
  • You accept more decisions per day (where to eat, which neighbourhood).

Choose a beach week if…

  • You need rest more than novelty.
  • You are happy repeating a good lunch spot.
  • Heat, water and a simple rhythm sound better than logistics.

Ask what you want to feel like on the flight home. Energised and full of stories, or properly rested. That answer chooses the holiday.
